Current Article: As Summer Wanes, Many Consider “Fine-tuning” their Look for Fall “Mommy time”: It’s that wonderful mini-season between the start of a new school year and preparations for the fall and winter holidays, a precious month or two when Moms have a little extra time to think about fine-tuning their appearance with rejuvenating treatments for sun-damaged skin, or trying out Botox™ or a facial wrinkle filler, or maybe having some facial or body cosmetic surgery in time to be completely healed by New Year’s.. Past Articles: Liposuction
Update Liposuction is a popular treatment for women and men
with stubborn areas of "diet resistant" fat bulges that neither
dieting and exercise nor “slimming” designer jeans
can eliminate. Consistently over the last 10 years, liposuction
has been one of the three most common cosmetic plastic surgery
procedures performed in the U.S. Click

About
Implant Safety and Breast Reconstruction I’d like to address two issues which concern many
women. First, do breast implants interfere with mammograms,
and second, how is breast reconstruction performed.
Regarding implants (either saline or silicone-filled), they
can be placed beneath the breast tissue or beneath the muscle.
In either case, the breast tissue is located in front of the
implant where it can be readily examined. Click

Oversized
Male Breasts: Not an Uncommon Problem Gynecomastia is a medical term that originates from
the Greek words for "women-like breasts." The condition
often results in embarrassment, teasing, and social trauma,
especially for teens and younger men, leading many to wear
heavy, loose-fitting shirts and avoid sports and bare-chested
activities. Click

Choosing a Plastic Surgeon:
A Checklist
Most people would never consider having a medically-required
surgical procedure without carefully checking the credentials
of the surgeon and the accreditation of the facility where
surgery will be performed. The same should hold true for cosmetic
surgery, for though these procedures are elective and seldom
related to serious medical issues, they are still surgery and... click

Cosmetic Surgery & Proper
Skin Care: A Powerful Combination
Why are most cosmetic surgeons such strong proponents of good
skin care? Three reasons. First, facial skin which has been
properly cleansed, toned, moisturized and protected throughout
a patient’s lifetime tends to respond much better to
both invasive and non-invasive cosmetic surgery treatments
than neglected skin does. Like their patients, surgeons want
to achieve the best possible results. Indeed, most surgeons
require pre-op corrective skin care treatments to... click

Anatomy of a “Nose Job”
Nasal reshaping (rhinoplasty) is the 4th most popular cosmetic
surgery in the U.S. and it has one of the highest ratings for
patient satisfaction.
That’s probably because it can ramatically change the
overall appearance of the face by creating a better balance
of facial features. It can correct results of aging such as
a drooping nose tip, or deformities such as a large hump or
bulbous tip. It can change the size of the nasal bridge... click

Liposuction Remains #1 Cosmetic Surgery
While the number of cosmetic surgery procedures in the U.S.
increased in every category last year, liposuction retained
its lead as the #1 choice for both men and women under 51 years
of age. (Eyelid surgery was the top choice for patients
51 and older.) Why does liposuction continue to be so popular?... click

Cosmetic
Surgery Is Not “For-Women-Only” Today, men are having cosmetic surgery procedures
and treatments in record numbers: Nearly 1.2 million
last year in the U.S., an 8% increase over the previous
year. Most popular non-surgical treatments are BOTOX
injections, laser hair removal, chemical peels, micro-dermabrasion
and laser skin resurfacing. Most popular surgical
procedures are liposuction, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty,
breast reduction and hair transplantation... Click

Procedures & Treatments
to Give Eyes a Refreshed Look Tired-looking eyes can add years to a person’s
appearance and create an undesirable impression of stress and
exhaustion. That’s why eyelid surgery as well as non-invasive
treatments to the skin around the eyes are so popular with
both men and women. Let’s start with the least invasive
approaches... Click

For
Cosmetic Surgery, It’s Mars versus Venus Not too long ago, it was quite unusual for a man to
have cosmetic surgery—and admit it. Today, surveys
show men are not only having more and varied types of cosmetic
procedures each year, most are no longer uncomfortable if their
friends and co-workers realized they have “had something
done." Click
