Dr. Levens chosen as
contributing expert to
new book on cosmetic surgery
Dr. Levens
is among a group of 100 plastic surgeons nationwide selected for inclusion
in “Be Your Best”, a new book on cosmetic surgery, published
by Insight International Press, LLC.
According
to the forward by internationally-recognized plastic surgeon Peter Bela Fodor,
MD, FACS, the book was written to counter the “unreality of plastic surgery
reality shows and...the excessive hype of procedures with catchy names” but
often questionable medical viability.
The book
covers 25 surgical and non-invasive cosmetic procedures, with graphic illustrations,
fast-facts, information on risks and recovery, and first person comments and
accounts from contributing surgeons.
All surgeons
quoted in the book are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. Many,
like Dr. Levens, have additional credentials from the American Society of Aesthetic
Plastic Surgery which has only accepted about a quarter of all Board-certified
plastic surgeons for membership.
The book
is expected to be available soon in area bookstores or can be ordered by contacting

Dr. Levens
has been practicing plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in Coral Springs
since 1989. He has served as both Chief of Surgery and Vice Chief of
Staff at the Coral Springs Medical Center. He earned his medical degree
at Columbia University, New York, and served residencies in general surgery
and plastic surgery at Montefiore Hospital & Medical Center, New York.
Dr. Levens has been providing plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive
surgery procedures for patients in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Coconut
Creek, Coral Springs, Davie, Delray Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood,
Lauderhill, Margate, Miami, North Lauderdale, Parkland, Plantation,
Sunrise, Tamarac, West Palm Beach, Wellington, Weston and throughout
South Florida since 1989. |
